Pine Magazine embodies the purest of intentions towards fair, accurate and original reporting focused on the South. We're small but quite determined to produce articles that people actually want to read. Pine aims to do that one of journalism's original goals: Give a voice to those who can not speak for themselves. We also want to offer up solutions, instead of simply stating a problem. Try thinking of us as the little guy with big aspirations.

Pine was founded by Rusty Ford and Holly Lang, the latter serving as managing editor and the former as enthusiast-at-large.
